E-commerce site for a Melbourne bakery with same-day cutoff and pickup-location scheduling baked into checkout.
The Challenge
Cupcake Central is a Melbourne bakery selling cupcakes, cakes, and cookies through retail counters and delivery. Online ordering for perishables is a scheduling problem more than a catalogue problem — orders have to land at the right store, on the right day, before the kitchen's cut-off, or the experience falls apart at the door.
The Solution
We built the e-commerce site with order-time and pickup-location selection wired into checkout, so the cart enforces same-day cutoff (orders before 12 pm for same-day delivery) and steers customers to their nearest store automatically. The catalogue covers cupcakes, cakes, and cookies under one back office, with customisation options surfaced at the product level rather than after the sale.
